Hello there,

I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Thank you for dropping by. I truly appreciate your interest in me :)

It feels alien to me to speak of myself in the third person, so this might not seem like a typical About me page.

As a 90s child, I grew up with the Internet as an integral part of my life. (Yes, I had a Myspace account and was an emo kid listening to My Chemical Romance in my room.) However, I was exceedingly curious about human behavior; I read Freud and Greek mythology at the age of 12. As a result, I wound up studying philosophy, where I learned all about reasoning, logic, ethics, and all those incredible things that don't pay the bills. In order to provide for myself, I worked as a Communication Agent at a nonprofit and a local small business.

Being a little geeky, I spent my nights learning to code and design out of curiosity. This knowledge enabled me to obtain a student job as a Content Manager at the Ministry of Immigration, Frenchisation, and Integration of Quebec, where I helped code pages, design content, manage content, etc. I loved solving the problems put in my hands, and I was proud of having great feedback.

Although I had the chance to mentor other students, I still wanted to improve my methodology and further push my knowledge.

Thus, I decided to pursue a Master's degree in digital communication, where I found myself becoming fond of the sociology of uses, which is a methodology that focuses on users and how they appropriate technological tools and what they make of them. This translated in me specializing in content-design and UX writing, as I tend to apply the user experience methodology in my work.

I am now a UX Writer at Heyday by Hootsuite where I design and write user-centred copy for the product. I believe that comprehensive, inclusive, and accessible content is a vital asset for creating quality products, which is why I conduct research, content analysis, and user testing as core practices in my work. I love what I do because my approach is human-centred, and I get to help people have good experiences.
